About Laser Teeth Whitening
Time takes a toll on the color of everyone's teeth from dark foods, staining beverages, tobacco, tetracycline medications, and daily wear. Fortunately, Martin Dentistry in Fishers, IN can help you tackle these concern with in-office laser teeth whitening. Although there are dozens of supermarket whitening alternatives, we use a laser system and whitening products that have proven to be superior to any over-the-counter treatments currently available. Our whitening services can brighten your teeth by several shades, helping you maintain your beautiful results for much longer than alternative choices. We use professional-strength gels that truly work, reaching below the surface of your teeth to address deep stains, instead of consumer-level solutions that only scratch the surface (quite literally) and merely produce a brighter hue of yellow at best. After your treatment, skilled dentists Drs. Matthew Martin, Stephanie Martin, and Lynn Marshall can provide you with reusable, custom mouth trays and home bleaching gel for future touch-ups.

What to Expect
An in-office laser treatment uses the heat from a laser to activate a specially formulated whitening gel. The gums are first protected from the gel with a special barrier. Then, the whitening gel is applied to the teeth and the laser is used to break down the stains that have diminished the teeth’s whiteness. The entire process takes around one hour. Patients immediately notice that their teeth are several shades whiter after just one treatment. Subsequent treatments could be needed to maintain whiteness.
Compared to over-the-counter whitening products and professional home whitening treatments, the results of laser treatments last the longest at 3 – 4 years. In some cases, results can last more than five years. Patients should follow a good home health oral care routine, including brushing at least twice a day, flossing, and using mouthwash. Additionally, patients should continue to visit their dentist twice a year for a professional dental cleaning and tooth polishing.
